What are the common bass frequencies that you can?

Feel in the chest?

What is the common frequency response on motion picture soundtracks?

Also what is the common frequency response that rumbles your stomach?

Also what is the common sound pressure of each of the above from cinema loudspeakers to the average home?

Thanks

I can't answer questions no.1 and no.3 as I don't own a dub stage, but as for no.2, personally, my stomach reacts to about 3,5 - 4 Hz @160dB.

I think that is unrealistic figure because even in real life that just won’t happen!

Okay I’ll wait for someone that is in the field who works on dubbing stages to give me a valid answer.

Thanks for but infrasonic doesn’t really interest me and 160db is silly because you’ll end up with auditory issues like tinnitus, thanks.

Lets see if I can’t wake up a bit and add a bit more to make this a bit clearer.

Foley effects like body punches what frequencies are most common that give you that punch in the chest?

Say can be said about the different varieties of weaponry effects?

Also what is common range from the loudspeaker with this type of effects to reach the front row to back row what is the SPL db?

JBL Pro,
A few comments:
To feel it in the chest it depends on the element (sound you are mixing) and the room.
Standing waves etc. It depends where you sit. It depends what type of subwoofer and especially the amp you are using.

Frequency is about 29hz to 20K. You feel the imact from 29.223 Hz to 230 Hz aprox.

One question, what does Behringer have to do with your signature?

You changed your questions as I was replying. What do you want to know and why?

OK, you just wait for someone with a dub stage, but if the wars broke out (in real life), don't say I didn't warn you of that stomach-piercing frequency:

I have felt that piercing effect at far softer levels in the past, Indian Jones and the Last Crusade, thank you.

re chest cavity resonance, its a slightly pointless question since as with an resonating chamber it depends on the size (eg compare a childs chest size to a small man to a large man to a small woman to a large woman) - if you seriously wish to achieve this effect in a film soundtrack then i would experiment with a range of low frequencies & subharmonics....
Helmholtz Resonance

but why dont you go get a LF generator & stand in front of that speaker stack in your sig & report back??
although frankly, i'm not so interested in what your own personal brown note is...
but dont let that stop you, it may even be psychologically beneficial for you, like rebirthing ie take some adult nappies with you...

"Brown Note" is an urban legend with no basis in fact at all.
