Decklink SP install problem with ASUS P5W DH DELUX

iVE picked up a pcix sp decklink card and am having major probs getting it to work in my system..... It installs ok but when I reboot the display comes up 600x480 and cant be changed...its hosed my graphics card drivers(asusnvidia 7300gs) its also corrupted my firebox audio drivers and my dvd burner drivers........ Decklink acknowledge there are problems with &quot;crossfire technology&quot; which my board has and their cards....Im not running crossfire graphics cards, and cant seem to see anything in the bios to disable.....Ive installed in different Pci slots and still the same result. Does anyone have a working system with this motherboard and a decklink card.... any help appreciated Ant</p>

decklink nightmare

Well I cannot offer a solution to your problem, but I was really glad to read your post, because I though I was the only one with Decklink-misery and felt like I was going crazy with this card!

The decription of your problem fits EXACTLY the problems I have been having. For FOUR long weeks I have been trying to get this card to work, and have had long email correspondance with BlackMagic.

Here is the last of many extra tricks I have tried: BMD suggested it was a power issue, so I plugged the card into a different system Gigabyte Board with larger psu instead of the Asus Board with "only" 500 Watts... same crap: decklink screws up my primary graphic card, unchageable 4-bits color at minimum resolution.

But now here is the kicker: Blackmagic RMA-ed the card, I got a new one. Eagerly I plugged it in, installed drivers, everything seemed MUCH better... until the card demanded a firmware-update via internet. Bammm, the update "hung" and at reboot the old problem (4-bit color min. resolution) was there again!!

MY ADVICE: I am getting rid of this card (decklink HD extreme). It appears thes cards are primarily designed for Apple , all PCusers beware!

OR do you have the "black-magic-bullet" that solved your problem?
regards,
ninetto
