Mixing in Mono question!

Hey, im new to these forums but it looks like a lot of people here can help.

I've pretty much finished recording a song (just needs vocals) and after that Im going to mix. Im mixing the whole song in mono. I was wondering do mono mixes go quicker then stereo mixes usually?

also how long do you guys think a decent mix would take for a three minute song with about.. 15 tracks?

it's actually more difficult to mix in mono. why are you doing mono? californication by red hot chilli peppers is almost entirely mono....
time to do a 'decent mix' varies greatly with material, type of music, skills, equipment, goals etc.
BTW, this part of forum is for film/TV audio.

In film video post for TV your mixes are required to work in mono as well as stereo and 5.1. That is certainly part of the challenge of that work, and the networks will reject mixes that have too much out of phase audio in them (they are watching a phase scope etc).
