Thread Starter | Studio Promoting/Getting business
I recently opened my studio, and I've had several VO clients and some other music clients. What's a good way of promoting my services to find more VO jobs or audio editing/mixing? I've been putting classified ads on the internet, but it's not really working that well. Other than that, I can only think of cold-calling/emailing, but that seems like I would just annoy potential clients, and appear desperate. Will it? I don't have high overheads, so the lack of clients isn't life-threatening, but it is somewhat discouraging. What can I do to boost my business in the film industry? ? ? Any advice is welcome. Except of course sarcastic advice.

Going to industry events, film fests etc in your area, "linked in", email blasts (less intrusive than cold calls), working freebies to get your name around.... Philip Perkins |
