Post Production on BareNaked East Coast Music

I just mixed a one hour special that I think the Canadians on here may enjoy (and anyone who gets CBC).
It's on Sunday on CBC nationwide and features several of the best of Canada's musical talent. Amongst the many engineers involved in the recording, it is also the debut recording from Guillaume Bengle's Le Studio Mobile 2.0 based out of Montreal.
In Post, we avoided the Antares completely and the show was mixed in both of our rooms (premixing in B, final mix in A)
Both rooms have QDC based Fairlights and Soundtracs/Digico DPC 2 consoles with 160 inputs and 40 output busses.
Because we opted for the internal FX packages on these desks, even my reverbs and echo presets moved from room to room effortlessly.
In past years this show was a live to air event ( I was one of two music mixers last year) but this is the first time it has ever been in post. Mixing 60 tracks wide for 46 minutes with 14 acts is quite a rush.

This Sunday at 7pm on CBC in Canada.

After it is broadcast, the whole thing will likely end up on You tube, compressed to hell.

Cheers,

Brian in Halifax
