Thread Starter | biamp crossovers in dub stage
Hi, First some words to say that I often read posts in this forum, and find them really helpful. Thanks a lot for that, guys ! Question : we are looking for good and reliable crossovers, to manage our bi-amp passive speakers, in order to replace our old ones in our main dubstage. Do you use some good products, that you could recommend ? All the best. Jerome |

We use these : Protea 3.24CL Speaker Processor - Ashly Audio Protea 4.24C Digital Crossover/ System Processor - Product Information work great, sound great and are reasonably priced. interface with 9-pin and a PC is a piece of cake. But you should also look at what BSS has to offer -- Omnidrive etc. BSS Audio FDS-366T

Hi, thanks a lot for your answers. I'll have a look on the BSS. The ones I have for the moment are the Rane, but I suspect them to "move" ( a few weeks ago we lose 3 db on our center channel ) . We also have a DME32 for EQs, maybe it also have some problems.... hard to find which's guilty.I have another question : for those here who own a Dolby CP650, do you have it plugged just before the amps ? If so, don't you stress with the monitoring level of your mixing board ? (always have to be sure that you are at 85 ..... )Thanks |

We're using the DBX Driverack 260. We have 3 of them for the 5.1 main speakers. Very good, user friendly with a PC interface, and they sound great. Bigger DBX units have more inputs/outputs. The DR260 have 2 ins for 6 outs.
