i have been trying to read up on the new ITU-R BS.177 standards, and how they relate to post. Dolby's site TC Electronic's Press release how do you think that ITU-R BS.177 will relate? do you think it will replace the leq(a)? has anyone had to mix to the new specs, and use the tc electronic lm5 or lm5d? |

If a show or network requires LM100, then that is what you get. End of Story. The TC Electronics stuff is a slightly different beast. As you may know, the Dolby has a "Dialogue Intelligence" algorithm, the TC does not. As to whether or not any Network adopts the TC as a standard remains to be seen.
