Thread Starter | Sound Designer /Editor Agents Hi. I want to know if anyone here knows of any agents, reps, or publisists that rep sound designers, sound editors, or composers. I have had luck getting some pretty substantial work, but I know having someone actively seeking for you all the time can only help. If anyone knows of, or has ever used or been recommended an agent or rep. Please let me know. Thanks P.S. My personal contact info is: ryan@mcbridesounddesign.com |

| Any rep that doesn't already have a sound designer / studio on their client list will pick you up.

| Let's see if we can get Charles Maynes in here to give his opinion. I didn't need to contact an agent, I just called Charles directly when I hired him for the movie we are working on. Remember agents get 10% at least of everything you do even if you know the clients!!!

| I can't speak for film sound people, but in the ad world, reps are very valuable. We've gotten plenty of our jobs through our rep that we otherwise wouldn't of gotten. |

| Hi - In my experience- Sound Designers are not big enough fish for Agents- I think Leslie Shatz has representation, but most of the guys out there either work through their facilities (i.e. Skywalker or Soundelux) or are just folks who make sure everyone has their number...(which is what I do). For my field recording, my email box is always full of surprise communications from half a world away... I would love to have a representitive, and it would be worth the premium because it is a distraction to be dealing with new work inquires when deadlines are closing... If anyone knows any good agents, pm me! charles maynes
