Full Time ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER

Small Electronics Company seeks Full Time ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER to develop new products, including

• pcb design and layout
• metalwork/chassis design
• front panel design and/or
• modification of existing products or circuits

Candidates must have minimum five years working experience in:

• creating and editing circuit board files and schematics in PCAD, version 2002 preferred
• creating and editing mechanical drawings in Autocad LT, and
• project management experience.

Candidates must also have minimum five years working experience in:

• reading schematics and block diagrams
• troubleshooting electronic assemblies to component level,
• construction of production test fixtures from schematics.

Experience in working closely with production and sales management throughout the product development cycle is mandatory. Candidates should also have a history of value engineering products with an emphasis on cost control.

Position requires a willingness to travel on extended trips and on short notice for installation and service work, handle customer service calls/emails, and consult with test department personnel on repair problems.

Experience with training test personnel with test procedure implementation, performing sub assembly and final assembly test procedures with manual and automatic test equipment, and assisting in pcb assembly and mechanical assembly are a plus.

All applicants must be able to lift at least 50bs, be willing to work odd hours when necessary, and be willing to relocate. Operational familiarity with music recording studios and/or programming of automated test equipment programming are a plus.
