| Look, I don't want to sound like a dick, but whenever I see people responding to a job posting with "where are you located", when it takes all of about 30 secs to find that out using Google, well, let me just say, if I was hiring, not only would you NOT get a response, I'd probably not hire you either. Show some initiative. It took me literally 30 seconds to find out they are in Santa Monica. |

| Well Mark, I googled "Post Haste Sound" which brought me here "http://www.posthastesound.com/" I than clicked the contact button and saw nothing regarding location and decided to make the post regarding location as it seems like an easy enough thing to include in a job posting. It should be noted I had no intention on applying for this job as I do not meet the "management" qualifications, I made the post regarding location for the sake of others. If it was something I was applying for personally I would have made it a point to figure out the location. Anyway thanks for giving me the lecture on life...Next time I make a logical posting I will say to myself "What would the great Henchman do".... |

People looking for work need to learn to use the resources that are readily available to them. When I moved to LA last year, I left no stone unturned when trying to find contact info and studio's to approach. I found email addresses of people not listed in company directories, by doing extensive searches, and contacted and kept contacting people to keep myself working. As a result I worked 175 days since arriving 1 year ago. The work is out there. But you can't be picky, I've done jobs other people would turn their noses up to, and you have to keep kicking the can. | |
