Nice job again! Really enjoying your podcasts; good AES-vibe.

That compressor must be huge btw! Anyone took some pictures?

Good stuff Jules

Just wanted to point out that in iTunes this file is actually labeled Bob Clearmountain. I was a little confused as to why I had two Clearmountain files until I actually listened to them.

Ahh thanks - I was being lazy and using the same garageband session for all the podcasts .. I guess nameing the exported files differently aint enough to distinguish them..

Jules, you're American originally? I think you have a hybrid accent!

I think Peter mentioned that the compressor keys off of the left channel in stereo/link mode. Don't you want both channels keying off of a LR sum?

Both channels "key" the compression in stereo (as you would expect). However, when in stereo, both sides of the compressor are controlled by the left front panel knobs. For example, when in stereo, turning up the discrete makeup gain on the left side turns up the discrete makeup gain for both sides. Same for all controls except the meter select.

Now that makes sense. I think he said something like - in stereo, it's controlled by the left side. I took that to mean left channel, not left set of controls. Thanks!

Is Reardon Podcast still available?

Hi, I just noticed this thread and was wondering if the podcast was still available. It seems like it is a dead-link. Thanks.
