More pics of the wood floor, it's already done, the rest of the Control room will have carpet.
After the wall fabric panels and carpet are installed it will have the wood base installed all around the rooms.

As you can see the fabric panels are already being installed.

Great!
Starting to question what I'd like to have more, a great environment (nice floor and such) or a great desk....

I think both

It seems like a fitting time to complete the studio: The new year! That will be a very, very cool way to bring in the New Year, too!

Can't wait to see how the Argosy stuff looks!

Thanks for the new pics, sir.

Take care.

Nice abstract shapes and colours - the red adds vibrancy.

Eduardo trabalho fantástico!

Your choice of using the four different colours for your traps is very very nice! It will be such a beautiful place to make music in... and will undoubtably sound as great as it looks too

I am inspired

Keep the pics coming Eduardo

The choice of colors I did was done from 3 complete suggestions from Pilchner Schoustal.

All wall panels are in place

Lights are on!!!!

Panels have some dust :(

Change in plans.

I'm installing hardwood floor on the control room where it was supposed to be carpet.
There was plenty of hardwood left from the Recording room so I decided to order some more and have it installed in the control room instead of carpet, adding the fact that wood floor is easier to mantain than carpet.

So they already started installing the floor.

yeah... have fun with the argosy furniture build. It might take as long as the studio build did!! I had 16 or so boxes to assemble and it took at least a week by myself along with all the other studio crap I had to do.

I lost the count of it but it has cost me so far about €100.000. That's almost $150.000

I know, the only Argosy furniture I have is a Rack n Roll and I remember that it took me some good time to get it assembled

Last week problem (I couldn't have a week without a problem)

The electrical socket hole was done on the wrong place, it got the edge of the isolation box. This one was my fault, I gave the wrong measures.

Check measures twice, then make hole
Check measures twice, then make hole
Check measures twice, then make hole
Check measures twice, then make hole
Check measures twice, then make hole
Check measures twice, then make hole

But the good news is:

The Barefoot monitors have arrived!!!!!!

I didn't take them out of the box yet .
I don't have space to put them, I don't want to risk somebody damaging any speaker

I can take a picture of the manual

The sucupira wood on the back of control room floor is done. There is only one little area on the front that is missing. But the wood that I had has finished, so I'm waiting for more to arrive.

The wood base is all installed all around where the floor is finished.

You're right, it would be a shame to damage them because of lack of patience
The floor looks really nice, and goes well with the colors of the walls

I'm so impressed with all of this... and jealous.

You must be very proud.

I hope the property is something you can hold onto forever. Your kids are going to have to go into the family business because a place like this doesn't come along easily!

Hi, This room looks great!

I am about to embark on a garage conversion myself (although not on a professional level like this) and was wondering if anyone else has done something similar.

I currently have one half of a single skin masonry double garage. Heres my rough outline –

Floor slab: laminate/carpet on plywood on chipboard (maybe with additional plasterboard layer between) on 50mm timber joists (maybe on rubber packers?) filled with rockwool.

Walls: 50mm cavity (maybe increase cavity at middle wall) filled with rigid insulation. 50mm timber studs (maybe closed back with 9mm ply) filled with rockwool. Plasterboard (maybe double up and/or use soundchek depending on cost).

Roof: horizontal rafters – double layer rockwool between trusses and p.board as per walls. spot/downlights.

Doors: External solid timber door + internal fire rated door with additional layers of plasterboard (maybe use rubber seals).

Window: External double glazed window, approx. 500mm high (full width of existing garage door). Internal single glazed (maybe with shutters).

Electricity: dado trunking all around.

Would this achieve a similar insulation value? Any other help/ideas?

You can check this thread from the beginning and you will find that this construction is similar to what you want to do.
