Nicely done and a great job of documenting things. Looks like you've done your homework from an isolation standpoint.

Looking forward to seeing more.

I'm not sure I get what you mean by this? Are you saying you could have gone glass:air:glass on the studio side, and then also on the control room side in the frame work meaning 4 sheets of glass total?

cheers.
Yes, my first order were all windows 10mm laminated /16mm air gap/ 8mm laminated. I wasn't thinking at the time that most of this windows will have another window parallel.

The windows company (no joke with microsoft please ) have installed 2 guess... windows , they wanted to install all of them but the others will have to wait until the walls sheeting is done, otherwise it would make it more difficult since the openings would be closed or half closed.

A pile of Drywall 15mm (5/8") this should cover both rooms final layer.

More acoustic sealant (24 900ml tubes)

These 3 didn't make it here safely.
But people at Sound Reduction Systems were very helpful and sent me right away 3 new ones

Control room 3rd layer taped and Recording room 3rd layer screwed.

Control room taped:
You can also see the fake beam that's being made to achieve Control room symmetry, since the other beam was made to cover the actual house beam

Recording room screwed
who's been walking on the walls and ceiling???

3rd layer in both rooms is finished

Pics

Here is a pic of the small machine room where the Voltage Regulator, UPS and maybe the computer will stay

here is the air duct box in the control room that connects to the small machine room (this box will have to be extended because the basstrap will cover this box)

and here is the other end on the ceiling of the machine room

Next, the remaining windows will be installed and the wall basstraps will be built

More windows installed.

This is the window on the Recording room side

It's 28mm thick and is dual laminated.I only needed 19mm for the recording room side and 15mm for the Control room side.
But after some mistakes in ordering the windows, I found out that the minimum glass thickness for this frames was 24mm, so I had to buy 24mm for the control room side and 28mm for the recording room side.

This is the control room side window that will be installed after I put the vinyl between both windows to hide the gap between rooms

It's 24mm thick. In the pic you can see that it is thicker than the diameter of a 1 Euro coin (if you ever seen one :) ).

This is the window door on the Control room on the opposite side of the other window.

Great thread! Really looks like your doing it properly. Just curious how much you've spent on building the room so far? Supplies and labor.

Thank you all again for checking this out

More wall bass traps

Walls are being painted, this is the primary coat.

Major problem, I found out that the doors are not plumb. The doors will have to be taken out.

They will have to cut the walls around the doors, take them out, plumb them and then fix the wall.
More construction delay.
This will never end...
