Hi Eduardo...

Not sure if this has been asked but what kind of panels are those ? Rockwool with fabric ? And are the white ones perforated ?

If you look at previous posts you'll see that it's only rockwool with fabric.

The white ones you are refering must be the clear grey ones, it's the same rockwool with fabric, it's the same fabric as the others but it's a lighter color.
With the camera flash the light penetrates through the fabric giving a different feel of what it really looks like.

It's like the blue wall panels, you can't see the structure, but with the pic taken with a flash you can.

Here is a pic that I already posted before with the 4 different color fabrics I used.

They're all Guilford Of Maine FR701 Style 2100

Translation:

Hi. Congratulations for your studio work. I already identified a lot of mistakes i made when building my own studio from this thread. Best luck with the rest of the construction. I too have a couple of dogo argentinos in my studio!

Yeah .... sorry to hear about your dog. Good to know you got a new one, though.

Also glad to hear about your replacement panels. Good job.

Already managed to saw the screw tips that were on the cable channels

This was the improvised metal saw that I did
It had to be a long saw but thin and flexible, so this did the job

2 of the 4 screws tips sawed

Now I can continue to pass cables through!!!

While I'm finishing the assembling of the Argosy console and passing cables this is what the recording room looks like.
What a mess!!!

Console assembling is near finish

HOLY COW!!!!

That is a big console ( ... that's what she said)

Really, though: it looks like it is gonna be huge. What board are you going to put in there? I think that I have already asked you that - but I must've forgot Sorry about that

As for the home-made saw: as long as it did the job, and you still have all of your digits!! It looks like it could've ripped through your fingers rather easily!

The recording room looks like my house on Christmas morning! That is part of the fun, though!

It's gonna rawk!

Thanks for the update, sir.

The Argosy console is huge, it's too big for the room
But the one smaller was too small to have all the speakers on top

Right now I have a Procontrol 24-faders.
On that space for the console there is still missing a panel that is the size of a 8-fader expansion, where I will have the Avocet andTC System6000 controllers

I had an argosy desk and my sound improved drastically getting the speakers off the console. You're going to have such a good sounding room, dont ruin it with having that big console resonate at certain frequencies. I remember my low end tightened up considerably by putting my monitors on some concrete blocks behind the argosy.

I know, my problem is space, I don't have much to put the speakers on the back, but after I have everything running, if I feel that it isn't working, I will have to arrange things to put the monitors on stands behind the desk.
Thanks for the suggestion!!

He is being humble! Have you heard his productions, mixes, etc??

He may consider it an expensive hobby .... but he is awesome at it!

Not to mention - it's my style of music, too!

I really appreciate the posting of all the photos. Very educational. If I ever attempt anything like this, these photos will be an excellent resource.

I'm just waiting for 4 bolts and 4 screws for the Argosy console that came wrong. Again Argosy promptly mailed the bolts to me.

The Console is totally assembled (without the 4 screws and bolts).

I forgot to buy some cables, and some accessories.
I will have to wait for it.
Meanwhile I passed all the cables that I had through the channels.
