I just got back from Vegas. I won $300 the last day and had some fun all up and down the strip! Studio at the Palms was closed for repairs but the manager Samara gave me a tour around the place (I was drooling). One thing that I noticed that made me extra happy, was that their studio doors were very similar to the ones that I got. Their Neve from Abbey Roads was sick!!!!!!!!!! Very Classy place! more studio pics coming and some very cool news as well!

Nice, those are some pretty thick doors. They must weigh a ton. Thanks for posting more pics.

| Nice work ! You are moving fast !!!!!! I have a question ......... I noticed the warehouse ceiling is really up there , will your live room take advantage of the tall warehouse ceiling? What will the ceiling height be ? You are doing great hiring all those contractors to do the work , it makes it go fast nice work, steve

Hey SteveP My ceiling height in both rooms will be around 10 1/2 ft from the bottom of the ceiling clouds to the floor. How tall are your ceilings? I kinda wish I could have afforded bigger rooms and a vaulted ceiling, but my budget didn't allow for that. Also after visiting the Studio the Palms which seems to be getting great results with non vaulted ceiling in the live room and not having really tall ceilings I'm thinking this is going to work out just fine. Can't wait to test this place out! |

You should be fine ! But........I would have used every last square inch of space i could have , floor space gets taken up so fast with these double walls.. my double walls have a 12" airspace in between them so thats allot of floor gone My live room ceiling is 14 1/2ft , at the lowest point , (it slopes up ) And the same in the control room but above the false ceiling is a 3 ft airspace filled with Hangers i kept my ceilings as high as i could, the air space in between the 2 leafs is 14" and keeps the airplanes out just fine But the extra room has cost me more time and more drywall, insulation ect....... it took me a year to build this room and you guys will be done before Christmas Peace, and keep up the good work ! I cant wait to see those doors steve |

Update time The good news = I sold some gear and scraped up the funding to get a console. After a bunch of research the Tonelux is making the most since to me and my budget. I'm going to get a 32 channel Tonelux console, not fully decked out but a good start with room to grow. Vintage King is hooking me up I'm very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got some new pictures and studio info coming soon Stay tuned |

Ok I got a day off and some free time, so here's some answers to some questions The acoustic doors are made by IAC, they magnetically seal and are very heavy duty. The floating floor was made by Kinetics, very cool stuff you just roll it out and all of the pucks are in a square grid ready to go. The pucks were actually a compressed fiberglass with neoprene coating on each puck. If you need more details you can contact http://www.evenfallacoustics.com/ |
