I forgot to mention how great the Sterling Modular stuff is

My Sterling console was designed and built to perfection!
Jim over at Sterling sent me all kinds of killer drawings,
worked out some mods and came up with exactly what I wanted!

A friend and I put it together (piece of cake) in about 3 to 4 hours.

I highly recommend Sterling Modular, they go over the top with their consoles.

Sterling Modular Rocks!

Hey Seti,

All the shots look ridculously great. One question, is there any reason you didn't have the console setup so that you are facing the window when sitting at the console?

Keep the pics coming, this is my favourite thread!!

It worked out so I had more space for the lounge and storage room in this config,
otherwise the lounge & storage would have been ridiculously small and cramped

Also I figure the people in the control room tend to focus their attention towards the console, speakers and LCD's.
I'm hoping any self conscience musicians don't have to feel on the spot at all times.

It is easy to turn your head to the right and I got the best of both worlds.

Ok it would of been nice to have more space and another room
in the middle too!

I personally feel this config is going to work out great!

It actually is no prob working in this config.. I've been working a bit out of this studio lately, and the layout is exactly like that, where you have to look to you right to see the tracking room - as sorta seen in the pic..It's really no prob at all and you won't find it to be any hinderance. :)

It's nice to see a real studio being built. Nice job, especially without the speakers in the front walls...

Get some Ampex 456 incense and listen to Dark Side Of The Moon...

Great! ...and I see the pizza boxes are already delivered!

You have chosen really nice color combinations for the studio and it's going to be a pleasure to see it with all the gear in!

just caught wind of this thread today. i must say, that this has been one of the most informative things i have ever seen on the web. looks very very cool.

i'm from nyc, but living down at magic sands for about 5 or 6 months. ...working on some residential audio, hvac, and lighting controls projects in the hualalai and waikoloa beach village areas. i'm a crestron programmer by trade. anyways, how's old A's? how does it compare to banyans? my skillz are not really up to snuff for paddling into the lineup there if there is any significant crowd, but getting bored of the beach park. any break beats 90th street rock - brooklyn, however, right about now.

The Sound Anchors Barefoot stands are rock solid!

I'm kinda worried about console reflections, so I got to
do some experiments on the best placement etc...
