Canvas Sound Studio build, Wirral

Some pictures from our on going studio build project. We started with an empty industrial unit and built a cosy studio on a seriously tight budget. What do you think?

Awesome. Could you add a little bit more detail?

Size, Budget, Gear?

What are your plans with the Studio? Looks good so far!

Cheers

The whole place is just under 500sq ft

We've had a very tight budget, we had anticipated a larger one from grants and funding schemes but everyone we tried no longer funded in the area/ unwilling to give money to such a project :/

So we had to call in ALOT of favours from builders and people we know, luckily they were willing to give there time for free if we bought the materials - we found a local place where companies gave surplus equipment and managed to find a whole heap of new stuff for pretty much a third of the cost.

So far we've spent £7,000 on construction and equipment. We tallied out that if we paid contractors and bought everything for the RRP we'd be looking at £30,000+

We're still at a pretty modest setup - though we've just took order of the A&H GSR24M using a loan, which we can't wait to get our hands on! We'll be having the big move in within the next weeks, so we'll be sure to take a few snaps of the gear!

We had our official launch party last night - after alot of wiring and things inevitably not working, we're all open for business. Got a couple of snaps from the photographer too, more to come!
