new fondation

as the studio is a first floor, I need new walls that would be able to catch the load. this is one of the four.

here you can see that only the roof's structure is left. I'm on one of the four wall that stand the studio. You can see the three other.

same view roof out. Merfomer on the wall. Note the 50cm of concrete top of the wall to get the load. The studio will be around 35tons. It's 130m2 (CR+LR). they will also be a lounge, technical room and storage. the all think will be little bit more than 200m2

Hi,
here are more pics from the building. This is when we lay down the concrete floor. It's a 40cm high, and around 19m long an7,5m large.
And it's floating.

beam and périphéral

Thanks. The peripherals were made stronger with vertical injection with metal (1m deep), and a the top had a metal trellis and concrete. The beam is 19m long, nearly 1m high and weight more than 1,6tons. But this made the build wood structure less and open.

insulation from behind

Last work I've done is the insulation behind the concrete floating floor. So the lathing doesn't hang on the studio floor but on the walls. 20cm Knauf and a plasterboard.

It looks like you have a beautiful location!

Keep the updates coming!

What will you be using the facility for primarily?
What is your background?

I'll post news as fast as I can. The inside plans should come by the end of the month. As it's a first floor facility, we are planing to set up a lift for back line. That's what I'm working on for now. We also wait for the lounge plan (Giga architect).
I start doing a lot of home records, first for friends and than other bands. They start to pay,...but not that much.
So now I earn my living on live PA. I work on a cultural center (ccengis.be) and as freelance (PA and some times studio). Building a recording studio ad always be my first goal.
I'l try to post a picture of my actual "room". I use it to mix my live recording (i live-dante-protools9-ipad). The future control room will still be use for that. It will be a 5.1 CR. The live room will be one large place. It will be rent for recording and it will also forward be residencial.
