Street Level Studios- After the fact! lol

I wish I would have been posting pics throughout the process... but i did take a few pics at various points along the way.

Looking Thru this section tho, My budget Studio pales in comparison to what i see. U guys have some AMAZING labs!

Ok heres a couple pics of the "space" i started with lol

Didnt take many of the framing / electric installation process... but it was hell with the uneven nature of my old crappy basement. Staggered stud framing on all the free standing walls. heres a couple of the control room with vapor barrier & some insulation going in.

Heres a couple of the booth, framed out insulated

Oh... side note. i have the booth separated from the control room because there were interior gas meters that made connecting the two rooms impossible.. Ironically, the gas company came about 2 weeks later, to move them to the outside. i plan on adding 2 way video for visual communication at a later time. Put in wall panels for the cabling.

here is a couple of the drywall process, not many.

I attached rigid foam between the joists on the underside of the floor boards... then the ceiling joists are packed with fluffy insulation... then i used fabric for the ceiling itself.

Lots of red paint... floors were a neoprene sheet, rigid foam insulation and plywood. Full Glass door on the booth.

Corner bass trapping floor to ceiling with materials from ATS (ctrl room and 2 of the corners in the booth. the other two had to go with foam corner traps. money was LOW!)

and the 2 in the booth

Equpment coming in....

Heres a few of how it all came together....

So far, so good! Im sure i will eventually upgrade a few things. but Thanks for checkin it out

Seems like some good planning and economic use of space. Not to mention esthetics. Very nice.

A couple of points:
Your monitors seem too far apart for your listening position. You may know this, but ideally, there should be an equilateral triangle between you and the monitors for best imaging.

Also. Is there any sealing on the door for the iso-booth? You put a lot of work into it to skimp out on the door.

Hey, thanks a lot. I have been set up for about 8months now, and these pics were taken when i first set up. i have since moved the monitors, and desk to create a more ideal position...

As far as the door... from the pic, it appears to be a gap, but the door and surround are sealed tightly, with spray foam sealant and caulking. I actually had a client in the booth while i was getting furnaces installed behind the booth, and the recordings came out pristine!

Thanks again for the compliments and the suggestions. appreciate the feedback
