Thread Starter | soundproofing a vocal booth/closet
Hey guys, I have a 6 1/2 L X 4 W X 9 H closet that I am looking to turn into a vocal booth. What would take to get the best performance possible out of it? Any ideas? |

Well, it will never be ideal, your best bet would be lining the interior with about 4-6 inches of Owens Corning 703, but that's quite expensive and will eat up a lot of space(up to 1ft smaller in every dimension.) I would prefer to treat my "control room" and go the one room studio route, much better for sound quality.

| Take the walls down and increase the size of your control room. Seriously. A box will always sound...er, boxy. The one room studio approach is definately the way forward.

You've posted this same question multiple times (and in the wrong forum section to boot). Posting multiples spreads out helpful information, violates forum rules, and generally irritates the people trying to help you. See answers in other thread: accoustic treatment for closet? |
