Photo diary of my small studio build.

I moved photos to a Photobucket album so everyone can view the pictures.

I also added some pics of absorbers I built yesterday.

Looking good! I'm curious, why are there pieces of wood filling the gaps between the walls? Or is this some other material? It seem as though this might create a flanking path.

I will post them on a hosting site so they can be viewed here.

Those blocks of wood are actually not spanning the entire gap between the two walls. The gap is 2" and the blocks are 1 1/2" thick so there is a 1/2 gap left. They are glue blocks. I made some 2" wide pieces out of rigid fiberglass covered with black felt to cover the gap between the two window frames. I'll take another picture of a closeup so you can see it finished. I did the same thing in the doorways.

I've ended up with superior isolation between these two rooms. All of the doors in the studio are 1 3/8" solid core doors except the entrance door. At the entrance there is a metal door on the exterior and the inside door is 1 3/4 solid core faced with 1/4" masonite (hardboard).

I followed the great advice I gleaned on this forum and have a very quiet work space. So, thanks to all who helped whether you know you did or not!
