We are finally building a studio for ourselves.
This showroom will serve as a mecca for South Florida's recording engineers to to take the latest and greatest gear for a spin. It will also generate great mixing footage of tips and tricks for all our LFA members to use.

I thought I was going to be so much more thorough with these posts. Working the full time gig and then doing this is taxing.
I also decided to take on a "cleanse" or fast on the weekends. Lord knows I have been dragging. HELP!

Update on the last week....
Mass Loaded Vinyl on top of furring. Then Frame for rear wall.

Ultratouch R19 (pricey in these parts) for side, back wall, and 3 inches of 703 for the front arrive tomorrow. I have to decide how we we will do track for the fabric on front wall, which will go between 703. Maybe I'll call Geoff Goddard or ask Jeff Hedback my designer.
Two of the nicest guys (and most patient) you'll ever know.

I live in Mid Florida, so can't wait till this is done. Maybe we can do some work one day when its done. You should post pictures in a way that they show up without having to click links. Makes it much more enjoyable.

I'm not sure the designer would be comfortable with that.

I know! I don't plan on charging for the room, but will be using it for gear shootouts and reviews. I would have a competitive advantage over local studios who I know are suffering. Taking food out of their mouths is not something that I am okay with. I expect things to be fully functional by december. I have quite a gear collection and mic locker. All of the usual suspects from the brands I offer on the site will be available for demo.
