Thread Starter | My home studio bass trap build and my door/corner solution
Bass trap build photos. I used Roxul Safe and Sound in 3" thickness doubled up to 6" on all but four panels. I also made my cloud by placing the Roxul into the drop ceiling above my mix position. I braced the Roxul on 2"x2" boards and covered the panels with white Muslin bought by the Batt. This was the most economical solution I came up with. I had a challenge with the door in the corner. I came up with a braced hook system. It's super easy to hang up and take down when I need to use the door. There's also one photo at the end of the beginning of my patch bay wiring work. Sucks big time. 96 cables to punch down. I'm cutting snakes in half so I don't have to solder connectors onto every cable. The difference in my room is night and day. NOTE: There will be a part II thread with more photos ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Why not some hinges, to simply rotate the basstrap against the wall when opening door ? Seems quicker and easier than unhanging that massive frame... ![]() Just my 2 cts…
