New QDS Studio in Paris - Studio Construction

I've started build of my second studio in Paris two month ago.

I have been planning to build this new studio for the last 3 years.

I'm a big fan of all the other studio build threads, I learned a lot with all your threads, so I wanted to share my project on Gearslutz too.

I'll try to post pictures along the project, and maybe some videos.

Here my pre plan (an idea of the futur laying out):

Acoustician's plan of all the room

We'll have 2 studio for us, the Neve room is more a tracking room even if you can mix, and the SSL room is more a mix control room.

- Studio A (Neve VR48) 28,60m2 + Recording room 37m2 + 2 booth
- Studio B (SSL 4048G+) 30m2
- Studio C (small edit room) + a small booth

- Studio D and E is for Annual renting (Music composer, etc).

Our acoustician decide to built Perpend Wall between all the room, to be more efficient in the soundproofing between the different room themself.

Finishing the perpend walls downstair

Our acoustician decided to make walls in perpend between every studio room, because of the nearness of so many studios.
Every wall is in perpend of 25cm, filled with sand, and coated with a cement of 2cm on only one of face.

Hi,

It's a good question, it's a Drywall (Plasterboard / Placoplatre) but special for the floor.
The density is higher, it's the reason why it's only supply in 60cm large.
Please find the link of the supplier, but it's a french website. Sorry!
