So I just finished my desks...

Small workspace in front, larger behind me, keys on my left.

Never mind the room color or the fact that the window does not have treatments We are getting new carpeting throughout this winter and I will paint the room then and get proper window dressing. The printer is just there because it loves the floor... it really does

I have not taken measurements yet - will be getting down to that in the next week before building absorption.

The nice thing is that these are minimal, they don't take up much space, limit reflections and can be moved out of the way (save for main) when I am ready to do critical work like mixing.

I'm a composer so I wanted a more acoustically sound environment, even though I master in my label's studio, still, I wanted a better home environment because I think it will be easier for me to create instruments.

Anyhow... hope you all enjoy the pics. It was a nice experience building them!

Fantastic! I've still working on a mock up at the moment to ensure I find the angle and size of the desk ergonomical. Then I'll get onto making the real deal and might well have to make something along the same lines as yours. Looks great and is around the same dimensions as I'm after. If I get any questions when it comes to build time would you mind if I PM you with them (or post them here)?

Shame I'm in the UK or I would have offered to commission you to build me one!!!

Great work mate.

PS - I was talking about the main/smaller desk btw. And if you have any other photos of that so i can see exactly what's going on - I'd love to see them....

Thanks! Feel free to PM me anytime!

I'll post a few more pics of the main desk tomorrow - I have family matters to attend to all day so I won't get around to it today - but I'll get on them tomorrow!

Hi jsipich

Hope the desk is working out well for you.

I just wondered if you'd had a chance to take those extra pics?

Cheers

Max

The wood looks awesome.

Isn't the screen situated too low?

Too low for the OP to see it? I'd guess not! I think he would have regarded it as a major design fault if so!

Saying that, maybe that's why we haven't heard back from him yet - because he cannot see his computer screen and therefore cannot use the forum!!!

looks great, I'm planning on making a similarly small desk... your design has inspired me a bit though so I may have to make some modifications
