Analogue Baby Studio Liverpool

Ok all, here is our second go at sharing our studio build! Please refrain from the critasism that forced us to remove our previous thread. We just want to make great music in the north of England!

Will let you know

Well I seriously hope things are good....

The wives not happy as it is, I flogged off her jewelry to contribute to the desk costs LOL

Seriously, we believe to succeed in the recording game you need the best console money can buy and the NEVE 88RS was the only choice for us and we saw and heard them all.

It's a gamble, but your a long time dead mate, bollox to it, if we fail everybody else will have failed to.

Have a good Christmas mate

Best

Stupid question:
Is that a windows login screen on the console?

(I've never been near a neve console in my life )

Yeah, awesome control room, awesome console - perfect.

There is just one thing: beeing an architec, I just would recommend to rethink the color scheme - less is more is this respect.

Its just the colour of the render, it wont be the same colour when finished. Most of the ambiance will be created with light.

Didn't realise your place was going to be in Liverpool. Which part of Liverpool is it?
I used to live around North Mossley Hill road. Couldn't believe how the city centre had changed when I visited a couple of years ago!
Very excited to know such a massive studio's being built in my home city!

Send a message via ICQ to muziekschuur
Is this a mix room only? Or are there recordingrooms somewhere?

What kind of metering is there in the 88RS? I have a D&R Dayner wich has LED metering. But I suppose this is much more HIGH END. From what I understood. The LED metering on my D&R is too slow to let me see fast transients. So I need to stay low enough.

But the GAS METERING (Wich I think it is) IS fast enough... Maybe you could point me to some book that explains this. Or maybe you do have an explanation...

The metering is 78 segment diffused LED

Yes we have a 25'x23' live room, a smaller dead booth and a "B" mix room.

We are about 8 miles outside Liverpool, 5 mins walk from Runcorn station. That puts us 2 hours from london by train.
