Hey folks, I almost forgot to post a few pictures of my studio in the southwest Chicago area. It's in my house and admittedly not perfect, but it's a good start until I can decide if I should go ahead and spend the big bucks on a bigger space. Anyway, enjoy! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a comfortable place to work man. Congrats. I love the green structure in the front corner. Is it some novel kind of bass trap?

Yeah, what is that? I've seen them out the window, but I don't dare to go out, so....... Nice place, love the mini grand. |

Nice place, man, looks comfy and quiet to make good music there ! But… why did you settle your sub that way ?

sorry about the late reply, I forgot I put this up Colonel Blues: I actually had those monitors set up temporarily and replaced them with some Yamaha HS80M's... I do want those other ones back up for a cross reference set, but I admittedly don't know where to place the sub ideally, and have done a bit of searching without much luck. But the Yamahas are sa-weet. |

| Judging by the shape and density of it, I would say a diffusor of some sort. Looks cool, still.

| Lives for gear | You will get reinforcement by placing it in a corner, but I like the floor under the desk equal distance from the stereo mains in general. It depends greatly on the room and program material. With subs, having a little less is often better.
