It's a simple selfmade construction. Just made a round board with light soffits and put it in the drum and hung it with wires...no harm to the shell

I can post detail pix if you like.. I used three 12 volt halo spots ...

It's all incredible, and I've never seen anybody use a drum shell for a light before.

First band recording...

VOODOO ANN & THE FUZZ OMBRES

The drums are sounding really nice in the brick room and the band enjoyed the vibe and will be doing their next album at "the tin drum"

will post a soundfile within the next days...

exciting times...

Oh yes,

I am very pleased with the results...

this Is only a roughmix I´ve done right after the tracking to give the band an idea about their sound...The track is missing vocals and quiet a bit of eqing and leveling...But as I said...no reverbs used on this track...

Drums were tracked thru the audient asp 008 which I really like...

thanx alot

It´s a middle class ddrum diablo with new evans heads on all shells...

The snare is my private 1972 Ludwig Supersensitive...gotta love that snare!!!

I really like the room mic... its a t.bone stc2000 cheapo valve mic in omni 10 feet away from the drums... I also took cheap ribbons (rb500) for Overheads...

The rest is standard stuff: md421 on toms, md441 on hihat, sm57 on snare top and bottom and a sm91+d112 for bassdrum...

back to mixing...

to be continued
