so some progress... first, as the weather is becoming really cool, i've built the drain in front of the entrance...nice it works pretty well ! and i've began to frame the ceiling for the first insulation...so it's a very light framing, it will only handle 8" fiberglass. |

and as i had some hours in front of me, i've made these two things: 1 jazz bass body in a single piece of swamp ash and 1 PRS body full mahogany, dried for 15 years... and as you can see, it was hot here...the girls have taken their first bath of the year in the swimming pool... |

with the holidays i've made some real progress here... first, i've taken all the stuff out of the cave, and for the first time used a vacuum cleaner (here, not the first time of my life...)! then dropped 2 layers of polyan film (200 microns) to prevent water and stupid ants to come. I've framed the floor, put insulation and now i've been putting the first layer of plywood of the floor (16 mm OSB3)... tomorrow, normally, there will be a 18mm layer of the hardest plasterboard on the floor |

and i'm still going on... so the floor is now ended...a good thing ![]() i love the feeling when you walk on it...you can feel the flex of shock absorbers under it, specially when you jump ! Now i'm framing the walls ! in two days i've nearly done half the job. it was necessary to leave some space around the windows 'cause i actually don't know the exact size of the second window that will come over those which are already mounted in the walls... the frames are mounted with elastic spacers so they won't touch directly the walls leaving an air gap beetween the brick and the final insulation (about 2 cm). |

well, i'm going through ! all the insulation 's been done ( 4 layers with air gap on the ceiling...50cm of isowool...2 layers with air gap in the walls). it's time to deal some subtle words with plasterboard (including all you can guess when something's wrong and you haven't drink your morning coffee...). with a little help from my friends (nice sentence) the ceiling is now totally covered with two layers of plasterboard....this week i will kill the walls ( a little bit cause at the end of the week i must play in a rock festival with my band...by the way we're not anymore "the genital genius"....now "silent roar" is on the market) in the following pictures you will see vince's impressive talent to draw amazing pictures with silicon sealant....sorry. |

Wow. Wow and wow. Extreme jealousy. Cheers from a small apartment nearby Lyon, where even the idea of having my very own office room seems overly surrealistic. Wonderful work. Can't wait to see it complete! Some people buy porn to get their share of dream. I surf GearSlutz' forums late at time instead...

i'll try to post some photos of our progress soon... the room is now becoming something that's close to a jamming room, with a short but noticeable reverb.... i'm gonna cut my work for one month and will take back my hammer in august... |
