Its been a while since i have updated this thread so for all my family, friends and all you guys at GS......

Here are some pics of the control room bass traps and sofit.

I need to get this control room done ! ...... Im going to pickup my console in 2 weeks

The sofit, rear bass trap and the space above the false ceiling will all be filled with bass hangers.

These hangers are suspended and do not touch each other just the insulation can touch.

The Hangers are made of linoleum, 1/4" masonite and 1/2 to 3/4" partial board wrapped with 4" insulation all mixed to absorb as many bass frequencies as possible.

Then the traps and false ceiling will be covered with 4" of 703

itchy.........

Also i finished the HVAC and all the AC wires are run what a pain !

Its a place in Pomona called insulation wholesalers. I can give you a contact name if you want. Really good guy and a good company to do business with.

I tried AMS but they told me it would be over a month.......

also much better price and no delivery charge. i had it in 2 days.

Now if i could only put it up in 2 days

I am now WAY over 10.000 square ft. of insulation and by the time i am done with the Bass traps it will be like 15.000 SQ ft

Ok just a few more pics of Bass Hangers

I got the rear Bass Trap filled today with hangers..... Wow it took all day!

I used 1/2" particle board and alternated with 1/8" hard board.

I started on the ceiling but ran out of materials.

They are set in a herring bone pattern to mangle the sound waves as much as possible

Another 25 hour day.......

Man i am getting really tired of fiber glass.

the 703 is like ....well chewing on glass,,, breathing sand mixed with glass.,, its everywhere im going crazy .... it cant be good for people

i would have got more done but i couldn’t take it any longer !

I finished the bass traps today

I dont know how many but they fill every inch of air space in the soffit, ceiling, and rear wall trap, over 1,600 sq ft of insulation plus all the hard board, linoleum, partial board.

I got most of the 703 up i will post more pics soon

Still some electrical left to do, and more 703

once the side wall treatment is up i will cover with cloth and some wood.

I only have one week before i go to get the console......... i dont think the room will be ready............... but it will be close

Those hangers are 3 layers thick in the corners and 2 layers in the middle
this was yesterday before I filled the ceiling with hangers
