Well done!!

Hi Steve,

I have just spent a few hours going through the entire thread here about your studio and I must say it is a great job!!

I was directed to this string via my dear family member and your good friend NeilTDeal. We have had good occasion over the last couple years to share studio scuttelbutt back and forth. I am on the other coast, up in New England...been involved with various studios and scenarios and it has been a real joy to read through this thread this weekend.

As a few people have already said, but still, very reminiscent of PowerStation/Avatar...very nice indeed. Can't wait to hear that room!! Good things come to those who wait...Hard work is the envy of everyone else...if you build it they will come! or something to that affect.

Anyway, best of luck to your endeavor/calling and I look forward to the rest!

More Bizerklee

Sqye,

Due to this really great thread, I had visited your website and noticed the Berklee mention. I was there the following 4 years after you. Was BS teaching there at the time too? I was thinking he might get a kick out of seeing this build...Power Station reminiscent.

Regards,

Jay

....this is very motivational!!

Hi patevil,

I based the design on my old room that me and neilTdeal built in the 80s

I would love to build in a Bank !! Did they leave the vault ?

yeah they are. they are very solid there is one on the main floor and there is also one in the basement directly under it. the walls are about 24" thick no sound and really no posiibility for a window. but we are got all that figured out with flat screens monitor and a camera. it is a really cool space i can post some pics here soon

our main objective is the control room. we have our console already it is sitting in the live room we picked up a SSL 4060 E/G+.

the building is about 100 years old all brick the way it was built it should still be here after all of us.
the ceilings are about 20ft high

plenty of room to build out inside.

I was afraid to use real names but let's go with Bill S. the teacher from the MP&E. He was an original from the Power Station. I actually wrote him to tell him about this link...thought he might like it.

Yeah, mine was a good time there.

Yeah, Kate is doing great...Sqye, you should check her work out NYC...Kate McGarry...great eclectic jazz, mostly all her arrangements. Her website is her name.

Thanks, I'll check her out, when I get a chance.

I don't recall a Bill S., but it was 15 years ago - and I was a guitar performance/ film-scoring major at Berklee.
