You should come down and help me with some drum sound "testing" , so far the room sounds REALLY great ! super live , it sounds like a Lexicon .

I'm trying not to deaden it any so i can keep that live sound,

Its way brighter than i thought it would be, and no flutter

I'm going to hang some 703 clouds but not to many , and they can be removed

Drums will rock in this room ,....... I cant wait

Yea i ment to come down and do a session,
I will be doing allot of testing and working out the bugs as soon as i get the gear up and running,,,,,, no charge.....

Bring the Lunchbox, are they APIs ?

I was offered some 212s? not sure of the # not 512 the earlier ones ,,, my brain is fried.....

It would be great to compare them to the Pres in the Amek APC.

and i would like to check them out on drums.

Steve -

You are ROCKIN' !!!!

I can't believe you're doing all that stuff on your own - somebody help a brother out. Jeeeeeez - If I was in your neighborhood - or even on your fr*gg*n COAST - I'd be there with my powertools in a HEARTBEAT.

IT LOOKS AWESOME - KEEP KICKIN' BUTT.

Maybe I can at least send fresh flowers to complement the cedar

Keep it comin' - your gear is STARING at you - beggin' you, PLEADING with you to finish

ok, ok - don't rush, or you might hurt yourself : ) : ) ; )

Just read this thread from the top and found it totally fascinating! I am very impressed with your stamina and the studio is looking beautiful. I'm about to undertake a (much) smaller build from scratch at the end of our garden, only 20'x12' but big enough for my set up and a small vocal room. I can't imagine building anything the size of yours though!

As for the work coming in, just think of that line from Field of Dreams - 'if you build it, they will come'.

Excellent, excellent work!

Talking

Well i got all the Cedar done !

Except for the trim around the doors and the 3 sound locks,
that should only take a few hours

and the track lights,..... easy !

The doors should be here any day .

then the wood flooring............

at least the dirty work is over !

now i can start cleaning

You can see the Mic lines and Headphone lines ,

the room got a layer of 703 then cloth then cedar spaced apart to make the room more absorbent
