Industry Recording Studios in Chattanooga Tn

The lease has been signed and construction will start in a couple of weeks. The building is a little over 2900 sqft and is in downtown Chattanooga on market st. We decided to make it a live-in space as well which will also allow for some living space for our out of town clients.

We are just waiting on the architects drawings for approval. I have attached a real basic idea for the space. If it were any more simple it would have been drawn with a crayon
thank God the architect has a good imagination.

I use to walk the distance from TVA down to the Acquarium quite often. I often thought that many of the spaces around would be perfect for a studio.

Best of luck to you!

As a Chattanooga resident myself, I will be keeping a keen eye on this build!

Thanks guys!
We met with the contractor again yesterday and he had some great ideas how to use the space. We just placed an order for our TANGO control surface and a few other goodies to round out our immediate needs.

As soon as the guys start building I will post more pics.

Still trying to get the basic design worked out. The original idea of using one of the prebuilt rooms for the control room got axed. The space was too small. A new plan has been submitted that puts a control room in the main space and using the pre existing rooms as living space.

Just curious if there have been any developments in the last few months. It's pretty cool that someone is putting a facility in that area.

Wonder if you could get a discount at Smart Furniture? What with you being right next door to them and all...

Unfortunately the space did not work out for us. The amount of construction needed was a bit much considering we were not purchasing the property. I love Chattanooga but most of my business comes from Atlanta and over the past year My business has turned to 90% mastering. We just found a location in Atlanta and will be relocating in the next week. I guess I can start another thread....lol

Awsome space and location. Love the exposed brick pilasters! will those remain?

I spent some time in downtown chat back in 06 and its a great place. seems like renovation all over the place.

keep the updates coming.

It's too bad to hear that you won't be staying in Chattanooga (well, too bad for me, but great for you if you're moving closer to your core business). Best of luck in Atlanta!

On a side note, I could be in Atlanta soon as well - I graduate from UTC grad school on Sunday, and some of my best job leads have been in the ATL area.
