The location looks quite isolated. Do you need to worry about your sound escaping? Is there another business next to you? Is there much noise to keep out from the outside? Road traffic? Cows? Airplanes?

This is one I will definitely keep my eye on.. I have a similar large building at my disposal, and have thought of building a studio inside it pretty much the same way as you seem to be doing. My problem would be that it gets pretty freezing in here during the winter months. And that would mean there needs to be some solution in keeping the drywall dry and the place warm at the same time. But yeah, I'll be watching.

that's why were not making a box in a box construction for the C-room just a heavy plasterboard wall and some HR++ thermopane windows. The drumroom and small liveroom are gonna be box in a box...

Thread Starter | Walls and view
The walls: 2x 12mm drywall with a layer of glassfiber finish that was already there: All drywall and metal stud is second hands; get it from a company in Amsterdam for free... in between the 24 mm drywall is rockwool. And then the windows double glass of course and what a view!!! |

Looks great. It seems you took the room-in-a-room concept to an extreme, almost like you could pick up the whole room and move it to a warmer building. Does the RV serve as control room, lounge, or living quarters? You could have a great location recording truck and also a studio where you drive the control room up and plug into the live room. One giant elco connector and you are online. At least it doesn't hurt to dream. |

| you wouldnt want to come here...its freezing here....12 degrees celsius ![]() hahaMg im curious about your plans for HVAC..particularly fresh air supply. I'm planning a future build myself ( nowhere near what you are doing) and im trying to figure where to get good inline centrifugal fans to bring in fresh air in.....its hard to find places in Europe... your probably are going to be installing an HVAC system that does everything in one unit...but i thought you might know. thanks! lookg good BTW.. |

12 degreece that'll do About the HVAC: were planning to install a suction forced air flow system which we can upgrade to an AC system if necessary. Air is flowing forced by a silent fan out of the room and fresh air is provided by some airflow channels in the room non forced. But were not certain yet about those things. Thanks for your detailed info about your building project with the bass traps I think I gonna make them to.
