Final Layout for my small studio

man I couldn't be happier, I mean, I would if I had a bigger space, but I'm sure I will make great records in this space, after 13 years of producing, recording and mixing, I'll have my own first real (small) studio, there are tons of things to be done, it's crazy

thank you guys for all of your advices and comments and suggestions in the past couple of months, I really appreciate it, I have all of them in mind

well, this is it, after a few months of analyzing and planning and designing, this is the best we can do considering the space and options available

I'll be posting pics showing the advance of this as it's going down

meanwhile here is the final layout in sketch

I'm still struggling with the budget and quotes for the whole thing, I'm trying to pull a miracle here, well, here we go

pic 1 is the view from the Live Room to the control

pic 2 is the view from the CR to the LR or where is it going to be anyway

pic 3 is some of the electric instalation material

pic 4 is where all the wiring comes from the main power supply and will be distributed throughout the whole studio

it all will be wired soon, but we need to get rid of some walls and build new ones, so the space will be a bit wider than it is right now on the pics

godspeed

this is going very slow but here is an update

the patio will be the "liveroom", there are many things that must be demolished first like the barbecue place, the bathroom and some walls they all have to go, and so the large window

my lovely wife wanted to help, she likes to break stuff so, here she is smashing a wall, isn't she something?

I wish... half of that Patio (glass roofed area) would be the recording room, I'm afraid I won't have like a lounge area besides the couch within the studio

I'll post todays advance later on

today it all was very slow, they are having some troubles filling all the ceiling structure with the wood and the extra stuff

the ceiling structure is almost finished

some of the drywall and other stuff is arriving...

today I had a meeting with the acoustic treatment engineers, so all of the panels, bass traps etc etc will start building shortly

tomorrow electric wiring is in order along the regular building process

here are today advances

the live room missing wall is now being set, the ceiling is pretty close to be done

tomorrow will start the drywall ensemble all over the studio, rockwool will be used between drywall layers as it should be in walls and ceiling at both rooms

I am so worried about the isolation, the area is very quiet, that's good, and that's bad, cause any noise will be heard in the whole block, we are trying to do our best but I am fearing it won't be enough, I just hope the neighbors won't be pissed when I cut drums

tomorrow is a very busy day

today pics

not much, it will be a rather small recording room, it will have about 2.50meters in height, and the whole area is 3.70 x 2.70

and with the acoustic treatment it will be smaller dfegad

studio madness

yesterday was so busy in here that I didn't have the chance to upload any pics

it was so crowded, all the workers were doing their thing at the same time, it was a mess, I (I mean the electric guys) had to finish the electric wiring cause the drywall guys were starting setting up, and the constructors were some of them finishing the liveroom ceiling and some of them working on the liveroom's outside wall, plus the architects and one of the acoustic treatment guys who came to see how it was all going

well, it was a good day

here are yesterday's pics, and later I'll up load today's pics

getting closer

we keep getting things done around here

almost all of the ceiling is done, so the walls are closer to be finished

I've decided to make sort of a box on the ceiling at the back of the control room, over where the couch will be, and make it like a random bass trap

all the electric wiring is done

and todays pics are
