That's immense. Been a treat to follow the build of such a studio. Have you done scores for movies yet?

That's what we do: music for picture.

Quick incomplete list off of the top of my head:

Films:
Crazy Stupid Love.
30 Minutes or Less
The Changeup.
Arthur.
Gnomeo and Julliette
X-Men
Source Code
Conan.
Footloose 2011

TV:
The Simpsons
The Cape
No Ordinary Family
Dexter
The Event
Star Wars Clone Wars
Off The Map

Video games: Dragon Age II, Telara Rift, more...

Trailer music, lots of percussion sample sessions, demos...

Some big deal pop stars.
Solo classical piano.

And we've done some really great big bands and small group jazz.

And lots more!

Greg.

We have been recording the music for the entire series of the #1 rated new show: "Once Upon a Time," Mark Isham, composer.

Also working with these great shows this season:

Person of Interest
Revenge
The Simpsons
Walking Dead
Dexter

Movies:
just completed the score for "Zambezia," with Dennis Sands engineering.

Man your endeavour is just simply applaudable. What a fantastic enterprise.

I wish you the best of success in business for many years to come. May God bury you up to your waist in cash with this, for you deserve every single note that will fly over your head...

Totally inspiring.

Thanks! It's a tough business in a dismal economy, but we are still busy.

John Debney is here today, working on a great new tune for "New Year's Eve."

Placido Domingo is coming soon...

Lots of cool Indie film projects rolling through this month.

And the regular TV shows that we so love! These are some of the best post production teams on Earth doing amazing work on an incredibly tight schedule.

Always challenges to meet. Both the unexpected and expected.

What mic stands do you use. I have loads of good stuff. But I hate my mic stands and can't seem to find any decent stuff these days.
I'd love some tips.

We've got:

STARBIRD (10)
MOLES-RICHARDS (3)
DECCA TREE (1)
ATLAS MS25 W/ 5' BOOM (4)
ATLAS M25 (11)
TALL TRIPOD (16)
SHORT TRIPOD (6)
SMALL TRIPOD (7)

The Starbirds are a mix of very old (those white ones, which were painted along the lines by some previous owner, probably Glen-Glenn), and some more recent VTL and Manley incarnations. And we have one mint old one. 10 total Starbirds.

The Moles Richards are like Starbirds, but bigger and clunkier. They come from a company that made/makes lighting and grip rigs. The ones that we have are extremely "vintage." We have them as standby reserves.

The DECCA tree was custom made by Tom Steel, the Stage Manager at the now defunct Todd-AO/CBS Radford. The counterweight is at least 50lbs, perfect for the trio of M250s that reside here.

These large mic stands, and about 2 dozen of the smaller stands, we got as part of a large buy-out of equipment from the dismantling of Paramount Stage M and the CBS-Radford/Todd AO stages.

Here's a pic from today, the setup for tomorrow morning's recording session for FOX Television's "Fringe." You can see some of the newer Starbirds. (taken with an iPhone using Pano)

Another Pano shot, this time of a 38-piece setup. Very open room. The great engineer, John Richards, presiding.

By far my fav fiction tv show. Actually the only fiction show I watch.

Glad to hear you're part of that, what a privilege

Is the whole score of that show live? How much studio time used for 1 show?

Ha! That's really funny because I'm watching previous seasons via netflix right now, I'm into it, but I thought you were making a joke about the non-fiction thing.

Most TV shows take about 3 hours to score one episode.

The legendary Danny Wallin engineers that show.

Thanks for the panos! It would be fun to shoot a full spherical pan beside the podium during a session rehearsal!

OK. Here are some blogs that we are featured in:

Composer Bear McCreary's awesome blog. He composes for "Walking Dead," and "Eureka!" Check out the videos on his site:

Bear McCreary

The Simpsons recorded the score for their 500th episode here. Check out Chris Ledesma's (music editor for all 500 episodes!) amazing blog for tons of great information, as well as some great photo's from that session (and past sessions):

Simpsons 500

It's so humbling to be a part of all of this.

Just a reminder that The Simpsons 500th episode, scored here at The Bridge Recording, airs tonight. If anything, just check it out for the outstanding awe-inspiring opening couch gag; it's like seeing your life flash before your eyes.
