Please don't burn your brains out. Your idea that it doesn't is spot on.

3 tips to think about to avoid any brain damage:

- speaker directivity
- (quasi) minimum phase
- wall density vs frequency

The reflective front wall is there mainly (but not only) for psychoacoustic reasons.

In short, The perception of the room for the engineer is very different than for the speakers. For the engineer it's quite a 'natural' space, for the speakers, it's very controlled. In many ways it's like they're in a different room.

Best thing is to actually ask Darius or the other Mastering Engineers working in these types of rooms how they feel. They're the ones using them 24/7. On GS you can find a few of them (Darius, Steffen Müller, Brad Blackwood for sure)

your description of what it does is exactly what Darius told me when I visited him a year ago.

I sat in the sweetspot for a brief moment as well so I could hear it myself and it really is amazing how natural it sounds.

Darius, geweldige studio, master je ook techno muziek?

And another question; how the heck do you finance this studio, it must have cost you a fortune..

Didn't know mastering audio was that booming business..

Great studio none the less, very close to my old school(Inholland) and work(Seabridges).

Hi

I have already posted but it seems it has not showed in thread :-(

I reiterate, this is a fantastic quality and thoughtful build- a one off....

The attention to detail is exemplary and a wish you all the success fellas.

Its always a financial risk and worry but like myself its the attention to details that make a place, and your place has it !!!!!!!

All the best
