Didn't mean to be a smartarse or anything.... sorry if it came off that way. I guess I was just surprised to not see plastic sheeting up.

As it happens...the Music Room floor is sanded with a finer (120) grit:
We need to make some adjustments to the concrete in the Control Room. Here's a tent to contain the dust:
And here, through the fan on the left side you can see two folks working their magic: |

In the end I suspect it's going to come down to how the stars align, and which project is most ready to start the day we are ready to open.

My mouth is bone-dry here because my jaw has been on my chest the past hour or so reading through this thread and looking at the pictures.
I humbly bow, this is the most fascinating studio build thread I have ever seen in my life, and one of the most fascinating studios to boot!
Fantastic, mate. Congratulations.

I didn't really expect to be updating my blog on Christmas Eve, but there you go! I have a new blog posting ready for you to read (though if you celebrate Christmas you may want to wait until at least tomorrow to read it).
Here's a photo, not on the blog, showing the progress we're making getting fabric up on the booth walls:
And another showing yet more ductwork to be installed...it seems to never end!
And two views of the attic area above Booth C showing some of the ducts that have been placed and some of the voids yet to be filled by equipment and more ducts:
Peace and Blessings to all this Holiday season...

I've lurked on this site for a good few years and I finally signed up earlier this year and I tend to read this bit of the forum more than any other.
Your studio is an astonishingly beautiful place and the level of care to attention, thought process into the design and build quality is mind boggling.
Good luck for the New Year.

To keep dust separate between the live room and the control room we've put up particle board while we wait for the delivery of our glass, so no view there right now.

And to think, all of this made possible from open-source software. Brilliant.

Congrats!! Very inspiring project, it is turning out beautiful so far and it seems very well planned. It will be fun to follow up as you keep posting images until it is finished.
What learning paths have you and Wes Lachot gone in order to pull off something like this?! What are the main hardware/software tools you depend on to make this project a reality?
Awesome! |

Awesome! | The main software is Wes's brain, which has been designing studios for 20+ years. The main hardware is a solid bank account and an equally strong stomach to ensure that all good ideas are implemented to their fullest potential.
