| Royer R-121 I have new project coming in which will involve recording some ethnic instruments. Has anybody tried a Royer R-121 ribbon mic on Djembe, Darbuka, Ney (wooden flute), Oud (like a lute), Zither or similar instruments? chees nas |

| I wouldn't go exclusively with a 121 for all of those. Maybe paired with an LDC for sweetness. I'm too afraid of figure-8s on soft instruments in unknown rooms.... Greg . |
