Reaper - no mic signal

This is not a major issue. I just connected my brand new Saffire PRO 24 DSP for the first time and I can't seem to get any signal from the mic. It's connected in mic input 1 (of 2). I've tried all mono inputs and of course made sure that the volume is turned up.

Can anybody help me out?

Does the mic need phantom power and if so, is it turned on on the interface?

You need to open up the preferences in Reaper and make sure you've set that soundcard as your interface. You then need to go into your routing and assign an input to your channel(s).

Lastly, record arm the tracks and set Input Monitor to Auto.

Thanks. It was the phantom power that I forgot about. Silly me.

However I have another problem now. There is a buzzing noise and I can only hear on the left side of the headphones. Any ideas?

Thanks! I appreciate your help.

Are you sure you're recording to a mono track?
