John Lennon Gimme some Truth organ?!

Hello guys!

I was wondering if anybody knows which kind of plug in would be able to reproduce the sound of the organ heard on the right channel?

Your help is much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Pierre

It's hard for me to tell for sure but that sounds like one of the classic solid state cheese organs to me. I'd look at plugins that emulate vox organs or some of the other solid state organs that were being made around the late 60s.

Someone that's a big John Lennon fan might chime in and correct me but that's my guess.

In plugin land I am a native instruments fan but there are other options out there.

Get on Youtube and watch the "Gimme Some Truth" film, which follows John as he records the "Imagine" record. Very probably it's visible somewhere in the film.

The three main transistor combo organs were: Vox Continental/Jaguar, Farfisa Compact, and Gibson G-101. Also something like a Lowrey home organ could possibly generate a similar sound.

If you have NI Komplete, they have a Vintage Organ module in Kontact which has those sounds. Also MOTU Electric Keys has those sounds.
