Apple Logic Midi Record Issue

Wassup, everybody! I use this forum all the time to research my problems without having to post or bug anyone, but I'm extremely frustrated over here and this is kinda taking up a lot of time that I could be using to make my music.

I'm using Logic Pro 9.
Long story short, whenever I hit record on my midi keyboard (Remote LE) to record an instrument from Kontakt, or anything for that matter, I get a big piece extra "track" at the beginning of my recording. Even if I don't play anything, it still records a blank small track during the countdown.

However, this isn't the case when I hit R or Record with the mouse. Could my MIDI keyboard be creating this issue?

This problem just started when I got on my computer to finish up my project this morning. I've been searching for over 2 hours.

It's hard to search for this particular topic, as I can not word it out to find the best result. So I posted here. I did find someone with a similar issue as mine, but the answer did not help me.

Thank you for your time.

How big a piece of midi are we talking? Exactly 1 bar? 2 bars? If you have a play with your settings there could be something on the "count in" when you record. Right click on the metronome icon at the bottom right of the toolbar, you will find it in there.
There could also be some info coming from your keyboard that logic thinks is useful & needs to make note of which is causing the issue, perhaps a dodgy switch or key with a loose connection that doesn't create any audible problem but causes signals to be sent. Even toying with the modulation wheel whilst you prepare to play your piece can do this

Have you got record on count in enabled?

Logic: Pre-roll and count in settings

Otherwise - I would suggest as above.
