How do I record from a mixer to multiple tracks?
Hello,
I'm just wondering how, if it's even possible, I would be able to use Adobe Audition (3.0 or CS6) to record my 6-mic set into 6 separate tracks from my Alesis MultiMix 8 USB mixer, instead of getting a two-channel stereo mixdown.
All tips and tricks, no matter how basic, will be appreciated.

Multimix 8 was USB 1.1 and supported only a stereo (2 channels) digital I/O

it does not support recording 6 independent tracks

Or is it the USB 2 version ..... Then I think u can... Let us know if it's usb2 and we can help from there... Otherwise u may be stuck with 2ch if the above post is correct...
