Are Album Teasers a good idea or a giveaway?

My new EP release is being delayed due to the mastering people being very busy.
Is it a good idea to put a 2minute teaser (6songs/20secs each) online now so people stay interested or will it distract people for when the actual album is out?
Is it a good idea or bad idea to let them know whats to come?

People release movie trailers/teasers for virtually every movie that is released. I'd say as long as you don't put up full songs it's not a bad idea at all.

Trailers/teasers are normally finished product not a short version of an unfinished product. I would wait. Give the best.
