I am doing a re-edit of a session that I have done that turned out to be a mess.
It is going well so far but I have hit a problem.
It is a solo acoustic guitar that was recorded 12 bars too short using a fig8 and a cardioid in an attempt at MS. I trimmed a copy of the beginning for each track and lined up the wave forms in Pro Tools, did a cross fade, and played back.
What I ended up with is a tonal and volume difference with the sound travelling around my headphones. It starts off in mostly my left ear and and then ends up slightly right.
I am editing on a MacBook Pro using the internal sound card.
How did this happen and how do I fix it?
