Monitor Calibration

Hi all,

I am at my last couple of steps for calibrating my monitor setup and just need to have one question answered. Just to give you the quick backstory, I have an Apogee Rosetta 200 going into an SPL 2Control (Monitor Control) and out to my Mackie HR824s. The Apogee's outputs are set by default to +4dBu = -16dBfs. How does this affect the level of the calibration tone (pink noise in Cubase)?

i.e. should the pink noise be reading 0dBfs on my master output in Cubase when I am setting up for the SPL reading, or should my master output be showing -16dBfs? I am a little confused?

Thanks for any tip!
