Thread Starter | Snare Sound Help
Hi guys, hope I'm posting this in the right place. I was just wondering what sort of snare/effects were being used here: Angels and Airwaves - Breathe - YouTube I'm talking about the slower beat in the background by the way. What sort of sound(s) could I use to recreate it? Any help is appreciated, thanks. |

Sounds like a wood block filtered with delay. Every other measure a reverse delay. My guess they found a loop that sounded close to that.

It sounds like it also may be layered with an effected snare hit. The wood block through a filter is a good assumption but the hit on the third beat is an effected snare hit. There is also a sixteenth note snare pattern happening.

play around with certain filters - soundtoys filter freak can be a creative tool to achieve certain effects such as the one you are hearing.
