newbie channel strip settings suggestion

Hi,
More a player than engineer though I love both roles. Recently purchased joemeek VC6Qcs and hoping I can get some direction with specific acoustic guitar(mic'd w/ condenser)) and vocal settings suggestions. I'm a dad who scrapes time together when I can to record and don't have the time luxury to listen (nor perhaps the ear!) for what sounds best. If anyone is familiar w/ this channel strip I'd sure appreciate some guidance.
Thanks,
mike

Honestly, with any channel strip, $5k to $60, it's all about your ears.

Do some critical listening and decide whether it is getting shit done.

I personally like to track with some color when I'm mixing in the box. If I'm mixing out of the box, I keep it clean.

It's not that complex, but it does require organization and planning.
