Note: TCE Trim tool and AudioSuite Preview Mode is supported by Time Shift in the Pro Tools HD 7.2 software release and will be implemented in a future version of Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered. I haven't opened it up yet, but since I am on 7.2 I will take a look and see if I have those options. Brad Mc. | |

| So do you guys think this technology will be used in Beat Detective to smooth the regions without artifacts?

| Beat detective doesn't process the regions ( and it's better like that ) . Volodia

| Yeah, I know it doesn't process the regions, but you're not going to convince me that it's better to not have the option. Of course keep the old way, but develop a new way that time stretched but maintains the transients, like Melodyne.

| Iīve tried this plug-in on some real-world-piano recording - this thing sounds so bad, i couldnīt believe it! Why would they release an algorithm so bad in year 2006, even if itīs a freebie?? ![]() |

| i tried it a couple days ago on a vocal speech at 106bpm and i needed it at 120 bpm to fit the track, but it sucked even with the various modes... result was bettter after making chop choy of the speech and then using the plug in region by region... maybe im to blame stretching a 1.40 minute speech, but in the end i got better results with a wrapped vst to rtas timeschift or stretch plug-in in realtime, cant remember witch one it was, anyway i got myself a very nice effect with it... kinda tape delay fx btw if you guys need to strech a long part, do you go region by region? or first chop it (in case its a vocal speech) and then nudge it as needed and then maybe a stretch if still needed? thanks cheers
