Portable 4 channel Firewire interface?

So - it seems like the Presonus Firebox is pretty much the best little box out there for down and dirty on location laptop recording (for under $400).

What's in the works - and would it be worth waiting for something better - or is this a pretty safe way to go at the moment....?

I have a Firebox, and it rocks. And it has 6 outputs that allow for surround mixing if you want, or when mixing, you can use it as sends to outboard gear.

It really is a great little box, with a ton of I/O on a very small footprint.
